Follow the money: Demystifying athletic donations at the College

Athletic donations fall under a policy that the College introduced in 2012, which allows donors to designate their gifts to specific sectors: financial aid, “equity and inclusion,” faculty support, athletic teams, and a variety of academic programs. Donors can also donate to the College’s “highest priorities,” essentially leaving their gifts undesignated.

Field hockey defeats Messiah, Wesleyan; advances to Final Four

No. 4 field hockey (16-3, 9-1 NESCAC) punched its ticket to the NCAA Div. III semifinals last weekend, besting NESCAC rival No. 13 Wesleyan (12-6, 6-4 NESCAC) 3-2 on Saturday and No. 12 Messiah (16-6) 2-1 on Sunday. The Ephs, who hosted the second and third rounds of the championship at Williamson Field, concluded their home season undefeated.

Field hockey remains undefeated after 2-0 win over Amherst

On Saturday, No. 4 field hockey (5-0, 2-0 NESCAC) continued its undefeated season with a 2-0 win over No. 10 Amherst (3- 1, 1-1 NESCAC). The Ephs emerged victorious on their home turf after forward Claire Colvin ’27 scored two goals in the second half and goalkeeper Ellie Smith ’28 blocked multiple fierce attacks from the Mammoths.
