Lyceum — the formal student-faculty dinner typically hosted several times each year in the Faculty House — will not take place this semester due to staffing shortages and a recent major administrative restructuring.
Chaplain to the College and Protestant Chaplain Reverend Valerie Bailey will leave the College this month. After her departure, Bailey will begin a position as priest-in-charge at two churches in the Lehigh Valley region of her native Pennsylvania. Her last day at the College will be Oct. 10, although she will return to take part in several events following her departure.
Did you see the parade? Last Sunday, Riku Nakano '25's senior thesis marched across campus. Students donned a 20-foot wearable daikon radish, walking in a group from the Spencer Art building to Stone Hill. Nakano reflects on her thesis, her inspiration, and the community that helped her along her radishy path.

Katie Malanson began serving as the College’s inaugural director of Winter Study on Oct. 7, becoming the first College employee to exclusively manage Winter Study.
The College has formed the First-Year Housing Working Group, chaired by Senior Associate Dean of Campus Life Doug Schiazza, to evaluate changes to the College’s first-year housing system for the 2025-2026 academic year.
