9:04 a.m. Williams Hall: Officers received a report of multiple alcohol violations. There was a table set up in a common room with several used solo cups on it, and some of the cups had beer in them. There were also several crushed empty beer cans in the recycling bin. Residents of the common room were contacted to make statements concerning this activity. A work order will be submitted to have the table removed from the common room.
6:37 p.m. Morgan Hall: An officer assisted a student in moving into another room due to a leak caused by the shower on the floor above. Facilities was called and will be working to repair the water damage.
1:15 p.m. Lehman Hall: A student reported slipping on some stairs and requested assistance. The student’s right foot was swollen. The student was transported to the Health Center by Northern Berkshire Transport Service (NBT).
2:15 p.m. Hopkins Hall: A wallet found in the COVID testing site by a worker was turned in to Campus Safety and Security (CSS). The owner was contacted and came into the CSS office to claim the wallet, then reported money was missing. A theft report was filled out and shared with the Williamstown Police Department (WPD).
12:30 p.m. Morley Science Lab: A hydraulic fluid leak outside the loading dock was reported. A member of the Safety and Environmental Compliance Office also responded, and found that a contractor’s vehicle had leaked hydraulic fluid onto the pavement. This was an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reportable incident, and the EPA was notified of the leak. Eco-Genesis reported to the scene to oversee the cleanup.
3:25 p.m. Wood House: A report was issued regarding drug paraphernalia. An officer entered the common area and found several drug and alcohol items on the coffee table. All were seized.
5:45 p.m. Hopkins Hall: An officer took a report from a student of a suspicious person stalking them while they were on Main Street in North Adams making a bus change at the bus stop. The North Adams Police responded to the scene and noted that they had seen a similar incident earlier. The North Adams Police contacted CSS and NBT was dispatched to transport the student back to campus. Returning to Hopkins Hall Drive, the student reported seeing the same man at the bus stop at the top of Spring St.
5:42 p.m. Riverview Road: An officer responded to meet a student who reported a bicycle accident. The student was not seriously injured, but the officer found the injuries were extensive enough to recommend a trip to the emergency room. The medical transport service was contacted to meet the Officer and student on Hopkins Hall Drive. The student was then transported to Berkshire Medical Center North.
7:43 p.m. ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance: An officer responded to a forced door alarm at the 62A North Exterior door. The door was secure and a class was being held in the director’s studio. Student traffic to that area may have been the cause of the door alarm. No further action was taken.
8:30 p.m. Spring St.: Officers responded to a forced door alarm at the Chandler door. The door was found secured. The cause of the alarm is unknown.
4:56 a.m. Stetson Court Classrooms: A fire alarm caused by an activated smoke detector sounded. No apparent cause was found.
3:02 a.m. Brooks House: CSS received a noise complaint. An officer spoke to a couple of students and asked them to keep the music down.
10:35 p.m. Poker Flats: A resident of Park Street filed a noise complaint. Officers found six or seven small groups of four to five students each, all about 80 to 100 yards apart. There was also a small group in the Thompson Lot towards the west end near Park Street. Some of the students were singing and others were playing some music. However, the music was not loud, nor was the singing. Officers asked the students to be cognizant of the time.
11:14 p.m. Sawyer Library: A student reported a bicycle stolen. A stolen article report was written and forwarded to WPD.
8:17 p.m.: Dispatch received a call from a parent asking if CSS could check on their student, who hadn’t responded to attempts at contact for two days. An officer located the student and passed on the message to contact their parent.
