10:58 p.m. Morgan Hall: A student reported suspicious activity that had occurred in their room while they were away over Winter Study. It appeared as though someone used the room for smoking. The smoke detector was covered with a sock, and there was marijuana residue on the dresser, ashes in the window sill, ashes in the trash can and garbage in the recycling bin. The student reported that they had not left the room this way when they left campus.

1:16 a.m. Perry House: Officers responded to multiple forced door alarms. A number of students started to exit the building as campus safety and security (CSS) arrived. Inside the goat room, a party with over 100 students was taking place. Because the party was unregistered and over capacity, all students were asked to leave. The officers found empty beer cases and cups sitting on a pool table that was covered by a tarp, but no one was consuming alcohol at that time.

Upon entering the room, they found a candle sitting on a coffee table along with a “hot pot” on the windowsill. Both of the items were taken to the safety and environmental compliance office. There was also an uncovered box with two glass jars that contained marijuana and three glass pipes which are commonly used to smoke marijuana.

10:47 a.m. Chaffee Tennis House: An officer responded to a burglar alarm. The officer found the building secure, but the panel was in alarm. 12:22 a.m. Poker Flats: Officers responded to the Poker F entry for multiple forced/ajar door alarms. Upon arrival, an officer had to move multiple jackets as well as personal belongings in the entryway in order to access the building. When officers entered, students had already begun dispersing. There was an unregistered party and the room contained about 70 students. The officers advised the students of the occupancy concern and that anyone who didn’t live there had to leave. The majority of the students were cooperative, but several were not, and it took some time to get the entry clear.
1:57 a.m. Paresky Center: Officers responded to a report of a student passed out in Luetkemeyer Lounge. Upon arrival, the officers found the student asleep at one of the tables. Verbal attempts to wake the student had no effect; the student only responded after being nudged on the shoulder. The student admitted they had been drinking but was responsive and lucid in responding to questions during an evaluation. It was determined that the student did not need a medical response and an officer offered them escort to their dorm.

While plowing and sanding with a College-owned Kubota tractor on the south end of the E entry, the corner of the plow struck a wooden pillar. The impact caused the corner of the pillar to splinter. There was no damage to the Kubota tractor and no personal injuries. Officers took a statement from the groundsperson and filed a report about the accident.
