Monday 10-21-19
7:00 p.m. Hopkins Hall: The director of campus safety received an email in regard to a bias incident that occurred over the weekend in East College. Officers went to East College and checked for evidence. CSS began an inquiry and took interviews and statements from several residents.
Wednesday 10-23-19
4:34 p.m. Hopkins Hall: Calls came into dispatch indicating the north and northwest parts of campus were without power. Williamstown police dispatch was called and advised that the national grid is replacing a light bulb or light pole on Syndicate Road. According to the power outage procedure, multiple notifications were made to facilities, environmental safety and administrative staff concerning these buildings being without power.
Thursday 10-24-19
3:00 p.m. Lasell Gym: Officers were dispatched to Lasell Fitness Center for a report of a suspicious person. The caller reported a male with orange and black flannel shirt carrying a garbage bag entering and leaving the building twice without swiping in. An officer approaching from the Hockey Rink reported seeing an individual matching the description. He stopped and identified the person as a contractor who was doing work in Chandler Gymnasium and carrying items to his vehicle. The contractor was advised that he should be wearing a contractor badge when working on campus.
Sunday 10-27-19
2:39 a.m. McGinnis House: Officers responded to McGinnis House on South Street for a report of an intoxicated undergrad who came into the house uninvited and went into the bathroom. An officer found the student at the top of the stairs on the second floor and brought him outside. The officer asked for 911 to be activated for an evaluation. The student believed they were in Perry House with friends. An officer brought the student to Perry.
