7:39 p.m. Fitch House: Officers responded to a tip line submission stating there was a chipmunk in the kitchen. They did a thorough look in the area and did not find a chipmunk.

Tuesday 10-1-19

5:22 p.m. Lasell Gymnasium: Dispatch received a report of a broken window near the indoor track. The officer found that the window on the east side of Lasell Gym was broken. The window, being very high up, was not able to be fixed at the time. The officer placed a work order to have it repaired.

Wednesday 10-2-19

5:08 a.m. Mission Park: Officers responded to a fire alarm. The fire panel indicated a loading dock sprinkler flow alarm, but they could not find any obvious leak or cause for the alarm. Furthermore, the system would not reset. Electrical trades responded and bypassed the alarm so that the system could reset to normal. After the fire alarm, a student called about a toilet continuously running in Armstrong. Officers slowed down the water on this toilet and also slowed down a second toilet’s water flow in Pratt. The officers contacted mechanical trades. While leaving the building, a student in Dennett tripped on the stairs and rolled their ankle. They reported it initially hurt but it was getting better. They declined to get it checked at the hospital, but said that they would go to the Health Center when it opened in the morning. Dispatch reported getting multiple calls for rushing toilets in Mission Park over the next half hour; mechanical trades was also notified of these.

8:05 a.m. Mailroom: Mail operations requested to have an officer respond in reference to a suspicious package.

11:29 p.m. Spencer House: Officers responded to a tipline submission indicating a group of people were yelling. After the officers arrived, a group of about 15 people left the area.

Friday 10-4-19

7:14 a.m. Chadbourne House: Officers responded to a fire alarm. The panel read “Monitor sprinkler water flow basement.” The officers found that the water main was dripping water.  The officers called and advised the on-campus mechanical trades, who responded to correct the issue.

2:38 p.m. Hopkins Hall: Officers received a stolen article report from a student who had just left the Science Quad and found their bike missing. The student reported the bike had not been locked. A stolen article report was faxed to the Williamstown Police Department.

6:39 p.m. Towne Field House parking lot: Officers were dispatched after a parent from the youth swim team called to report a vehicle traveling at a high speed in the parking lot. The vehicle cleared the lot, but its license plate was taken for investigation and follow-up.

10:08 p.m. Sawyer Library: Dispatch received an intrusion alarm, and simultaneously received a call from student stating that he was locked inside the gate at Stetson/Sawyer.

Saturday 10-5-19

9:09 a.m. Lower Cole Field: Dispatch received a report from two callers of an injury suffered during a sporting tournament, and were advised that 911 had already been activated for Northern Berkshire EMS to respond. The injured student was attended to by an athletic staff member.

11:19 a.m. Chaffee Tennis House: An athletic staff member called campus security, reporting that they had found graffiti on the tennis scoreboard. An officer responded and documented with pictures, and an inquiry was started to determine whether any bias or derogatory meaning was present. The officer received authorization to have it removed later in the day, and no bias was indicated.

Sunday 10-6-19

3:29 a.m. Williams College Museum of Art: Officers responded to a motion detector activation alarm in the loading dock. The officers found a large roll of bubble wrap mounted to the wall with a long piece hanging down from the roll. When the heat came on, the motion of the roll had caused a motion detector activation.

11:23 a.m. Carter House: A student called dispatch reporting they needed to report damage to the window of a room. An officer called architectural trades and notified them of the issue. The officer secured the broken glass with duct tape for the evening until a more permanent repair could be made.

Monday 10-7-19

5:37 a.m. Poker Flars: A student called dispatch to report an injury. Upon student request, Northern Berkshire EMS arrived and transported the student to BMC North.
