Every week, the Record interviews a student as part of its One in Two Thousand feature. We have compiled excerpts from all the interviews of members of the Class of 2020 from the last four years.
Throughout each semester, the Record”s sports section publishes “Athletes of the Week,” spotlighting Ephs” exceptional performances in a given week. Over the years, we have featured 25 members of Class of 2020. In honor of their graduation from the College, here they are:
Each spring, the annual Frank Deford and Aaron Pinsky ’06 Awards honor students who exhibit excellence as Sports Information contributors. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the recipients of the 31st Deford and 11th Pinsky Awards will receive their awards in the mail, rather than in a formal ceremony.

On May 4, senior men’s lacrosse captains Brendan Hoffman ’20 and Rock Stewart ’20 became the first players in school history to be selected in the annual Major League Lacrosse Draft.
Summiya Najam ’20 will study at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar for Pakistan. She attended the Williams-Exeter Programme at Oxford during the 2018-19 academic year.
When COVID-19 required the campus to close and classes were moved online in March, many senior student-athletes were just beginning to gear up for their final season in Eph uniform. For our senior issue, we asked some of them to share their favorite memory from their athletic career.
Men’s cross-country: Top of NESCAC, third at NCAA
For the first time since 2016, men’s cross-country has won the NESCAC championship, with seven Ephs, all of whom won All-NESCAC Honors, finishing in the top 11 runners. After that, the Ephs continued their winning streak at the New England Regional, tallying 24 points and earning an automatic berth to NCAA, where they finished third with a team score of 183.
