Students allege Clery Act violations, other errors by College’s Title IX office

First-year enrollment demographics shift slightly following affirmative action ban

The share of Black students increased from 6.8 percent to 7.3 percent, while that of Hispanic students rose from 14.8 percent to 15.5 percent. The proportion of white students decreased from 45.3 percent to 42.7 percent, and the proportion of Asian students fell from 12.6 percent to 11.5 percent.

College to continue Williams-Mystic Program after considering its closure

At tonight’s Town Meeting, to be held at Mount Greylock Regional School at 7 p.m., Williamstown voters will decide on 42 warrant articles, including a provision to allow the construction of cottage court developments that could densify the Town’s housing stock, changes to tax law aimed at lowering the tax burden for low-income residents and seniors, and the first major proposed amendments to the Town Charter since its adoption in 1956.

Encampment ends, Board of Trustees commits to two meetings with SJP, J4J

On Monday afternoon, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Jews for Justice (J4J) closed their encampment on Sawyer Quad after President of the College Maud S. Mandel and leaders of the Board of Trustees agreed to a meeting between members of SJP and J4J and at least 19 members of the Board of Trustees.
