Monday 2-15-21
12:36 p.m.: An officer helped a student move into quarantine housing by retrieving quarantine housing keys and room assignments from the Office of Campus Life (OCL). The officer then met the student and a Northern Berkshire Transport (NBT) driver on Hopkins Drive and led them to the temporary quarantine room.
3:37 p.m.: An officer assisted a NBT in transporting a student from quarantine to isolation housing.
4:20 p.m. An officer assisted NBT in transporting four students to their quarantine housing.
5:35 p.m.: An officer assisted NBT in transporting a student to quarantine housing.
10:49 p.m. Williams College Museum of Art: Officers responded to the Williams College Museum of Art (WCMA) for reports of a door management system alarm.
11:16 p.m. WCMA: Officers responded to WCMA for reports of an activated door management system alarm and contacted the WCMA security supervisor and operations manager.
11:19 p.m. Kellogg House: An officer responded to reports of a large gathering of students with alcohol and found five students practicing social distancing and wearing masks on the southeast corner of the building.
Tuesday 2-16-21
12:58 a.m. Mission Park: An officer responded to the third floor of Dennett for a noise complaint.
9:41 a.m. Tyler Annex: An officer arrived with a package from the Health Center.
10:19 a.m.: An officer responded to OCL and picked up a key to a new room for a student in quarantine who was having an issue with their current room and needed to move.
11:11 a.m.: An officer assisted a student in quarantine housing after consulting a supervisor on how to safely enter the building.
1:10 p.m. Farley Field: An officer responded to a group of young people who were playing soccer without permission to be on the field.
4:14 p.m. Schow Science Library: While doing a walk-through check, an officer noticed two areas where water was leaking from the roof onto the floor. The officer placed buckets to catch the water, notified the head of the library, and submitted a facilities work order. Officers conducted hourly checks to make sure the leaks did not worsen
7:03 p.m.: An officer asked for on-call grounds crew to be called in for ice on the sidewalks and roadways as rainy weather and the sudden drop in temperature made campus walkways slippery.
8:43 p.m. Mission Park: Officers responded to an activated fire alarm. The panel indicated that the smoke detector had been activated in Mills, but officers found no cause for the alarm to go off.
Wednesday 2-17-21
12:26 a.m. Frosh Quad: Officers responded to Williams Hall for a noise complaint. Upon arrival, officers found four students in a common room listening to music and advised them of the noise.
8:00 a.m. Chandler Equipment Room: An officer responded to an intrusion alarm at the south double doors.
Thursday 2-18-20
5:18 p.m. Hopkins Hall: An officer arrived to pick up medical supplies and a room code for a student who had tested positive for COVID-19 and had moved into isolation. The officer delivered the supplies and room code and unlocked the room before meeting NBT outside of Hopkins Hall and escorting the student to quarantine.
1:25 a.m. Stetson Court: While performing a red-light check, an officer found the light inside of 73 Stetson Court had been activated. The temperature inside was 55 degrees, and the furnace was not running, so the officer reset the furnace and notified dispatch. Officers continued to check throughout the night for red-light deactivation and appropriate temperatures.
Friday 2-19-21
3:51 a.m. West College: An officer responded to a noise complaint. The student reported that two heaters in their room emitted a continuous high-pitched humming. The student had submitted several work orders to Facilities; they had responded, but the issue remained.
Saturday 2-20-21
12:14 a.m. Mission Park: An officer was dispatched to Dennett in response to a party occurring on the third floor. When the officer arrived, the approximately 10 students at the party scattered.
8:36 p.m. Hubbell House: An officer responded to a heat complaint.
Sunday 2-21-21
5:04 p.m. Frosh Quad: An officer dispatched to Sage Hall to check on a report of the tempered glass breaking on a student’s MicroFridge.
6:19 p.m. Spencer House: An officer responded to a report of a tripped breaker in a room. The officer reset the breaker and verified with the resident that power had been restored.
Monday 2-22-21
1:27 a.m.: While performing a red-light check, officers found the light at 73 Stetson Court had been activated and the furnace was not running. After resetting the furnace, officers continued to check the building throughout the night to monitor temperature.
