College to replace PeopleSoft by 2026

By 2026, the College will no longer use PeopleSoft — the more-than-two-decades-old software underpinning its student records (Sarah), human resources (Ephr), and finance systems — though a replacement has not yet been determined. The replacement project is called Collaboratively Optimizing Williams.

The Store at Five Corners reopens under new management after two years of closure

The Store at Five Corners reopened under new ownership on Aug. 16 after closing in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The South Williamstown store, which sells made-to-order sandwiches and groceries, occupies a historic 250-year-old building that served as a tavern during the American Revolution.

Members of College community participate in historic, hybrid Boston Marathon

Canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Boston Marathon returned in 2021, albeit with a slew of pandemic-induced changes and precautions. This included a six-month delay of the race from April to October, opening up the possibility for members of the College community to take advantage of the reading period break to attend.
