Career center adjusts ASIP to broaden access for shorter internships

The ’68 Center for Career Exploration will adjust the parameters of the Alumni Sponsored Internship Program (ASIP) for summer 2024, allowing shorter internships to qualify for grants and introducing a new sliding scale for the size of each grant, which will vary according to the length and format of the internship, as well as each student’s financial needs.

After 30 years at the College, Assistant to the President and Secretary of the College Keli Gail will retire this July, President Maud S. Mandel announced in an all-campus email on Feb. 6. A search committee, led by Mandel, will hire Gail’s successor.

The Prevention, Education, and Advocacy in Community (PEACe) Office, which focuses on various issues relating to student health, plans to install NaloxBoxes — first aid boxes containing naloxone — in Paresky Center and Sawyer Library’s 24-hour room in the coming months.
