A poll conducted by the Record via email earlier this week demonstrated an overall approval of local and College institutions.

Poll respondents were asked to “check whether [they] approve or disapprove of the job each person/organization is doing.” Respondents had a choice of approval, disapproval or no opinion. The approval ratings below compare the ratio of approval votes to total approval and disapproval votes.

The poll was emailed on the night of April 28 to 500 students randomly selected from the 2205 listed in the first-year facebooks for the classes of 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. When the poll was closed one week later at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, 205 students, or 41 percent of those it was sent to, had responded, giving the poll a margin of error of 6.52 percent, for a 95 percent level of confidence.

The class breakdown of the poll was fairly even, with 50 voters from the class of 2018, 58 from 2017, 49 from 2016 and 47 from 2015.
