Golf hosts NCAA finals at Taconic

Men’s golf dominated in the Little Three Championships in May, convincingly defeating both Amherst and Wesleyan. Held at the Taconic golf course, the competition proved a continuation of the consistency that the team had displayed all season long.

Top Eph performers of the day were Bob Stanton ’01 who shot a 75, co-captain Tony McCutcheon ’99, John McCoy ’01, David Feigenbaum ’01 and number one golfer and co-captain Devin Redmond ’99, who completed a spectacular career with a 73.

From there the team went on to play in the NCAA Division III Championships, also held at the Taconic. From a field of 23 teams with five players each, the Ephs finished tenth, making this season their highest placing finish ever. Williams golfer Redmond finished second individually behind Championship winner Methodist College’s Chad Collins. This performance marked the highest individual finish ever for an Eph.
