Five favorite movies:

I don’t watch many movies.

Do you have a favorite movie?

No.

Isn’t there any movie you like?

None that sticks out in my mind.

Favorite TV show?

The Simpsons.

Have you watched it from the beginning?

I’ve watched it religiously.

Do you notice how it started with Bart as the main character and now. . .

It’s Homer.

Yeah. Do you think it’s because our generation has grown up?

I think it’s just because Homer is funnier. Homer’s like the real reject. That’s the way they developed the characters.

So is he your favorite character?

Homer? No. Otto. . . The bus driver.

How’s second semester so far?

I came back late – on Monday. I won a trip to the Bahamas.

Do you like your classes?

Yeah. They’re great.

Do you find it easier to adapt to classes?

Well, first semester I didn’t want to start doing work because I had a really great summer and I didn’t want it to end. Now I had a really great dead week so I’m back in the same place.

How’d you win a trip to the Bahamas?

I was the one-hundredth caller on Z100 [a NYC radio station] and I correctly identified the artist.

Who was the artist?

Shania Twain.

Shania Twain! Wow. I’m obsessed with her! Do you like my Shania Twain poster?

Yeah. She’s hot. . . Hey, can I ask you some questions?

Everyone wants to ask me questions when I do this.

They seriously do.

Go ahead, ask me a question.

If you could be any animal what would you be?

Oh no! I don’t know! I’m not sure.

You could be a donkey.

I’m not going to ask why. What animal would you be?

I’d be a bird or a dolphin.

Why?

’Cause like, flying around would be cool.

But dolphins don’t fly.

They’re just mad cool.

Let me ask you a semi-serious question.

If it’s about politics I can’t answer it.

Damn.

It’s about politics, isn’t it?

Do you know what’s going on today?

No.

Did you know they are voting on the Clinton trial?

No.

Do you care?

I don’t know.

Do you know what happens if they vote “yes”?

Vaguely.

They kick him out of office. . . What did you think of your first Winter Studies?

I missed the first class of Winter Study because I was in London. It was really fun. I had a really cool class about deaf people.

Was it fun being on campus with no homework?

It was really nice. But I was really busy every day, sledding.

So it was a good busy?

Like a relaxing busy.

Okay, so you’ve been to the Bahamas and London. Do you travel a lot?

I try to. I don’t have a lot of money. But I jump on any freebies.

So you want to study abroad?

Yeah.

Where?

Zimbabwe or Australia.

Any reason why you want to go there?

Zimbabwe is one of the most successful African countries, it’s totally cool and they are in the middle of a great transition state in their history. And Australia is just so cool.

What’s you major going to be?

History.

Is that related to your love of travelling and countries?

It totally is. I’m like this obsessive Latin America gluttoness.

Any particular history?

Definitely. Like revolutionary history. Like social history.

Is there anything you want to tell the Williams community?

Not really.

Come on. Any words of wisdom?

Don’t eat yellow snow.
