Record: Where’d you get the name for “Where’d You Get That?”
Michele: We gave crazy gifts and people always asked us where we got that. It’s become a great joke. Many people tried to discourage us from using it, but it’s worked out well. Tourists love it. We’ve service marketed it nationally.
Record: What were your previous occupations?
Ken: I was a chemical manufacturer.
Michele: I worked for Information Systems Executive Search.
Record: Is there any truth to the rumor that Mrs. Payne bought her husband an “Old Timer Crossing” sign?
Michele: Yes. Probably so. He’s received a few items from here.
Record: What’s the one item no Williams student should be without?
Ken: There is such diversified taste on campus that there isn’t just one item.
Michele: Our bungee-jumping purple cow is a staple for any dorm room.
Ken: One book we just received is titled How to Make Your Man Behave in 21 Days or Less Using the Secrets of Professional Dog Trainers. I think it’ll be a big seller.
Michele: Did we mention we make balloon and gift deliveries to college dorms?
Ken: We’ve also got an ever-expanding candy section.
Michele: Yeah. We’re the gummi capital of Williamstown.
Record: Are there any exciting items coming soon?
Michele: We’ve ordered remote-controlled whoopee cushions. Just think of the possibilities.
